Editorial policy: what this site will and will not say about a dose

Nine rules, applied to every page. They exist because retatrutide is an investigational compound with a small literature and a large amount of unsourced commentary around it.

The nine rules

  1. Every number has a source on the same page. A dose, a percentage or a week count appears with the paper or registry entry it comes from, listed under Sources with a link.
  2. Sources are verified, not assumed. Each DOI is resolved on CrossRef and each NCT number on ClinicalTrials.gov before publication. A source that fails to resolve is removed, and the claim with it.
  3. Trial doses only. The site reports the doses used in published trials. It does not propose doses, adjust them to body weight, or describe schedules that no trial used.
  4. Silence is stated. When the papers do not answer a question (intermediate phase 3 steps, missed doses, off-treatment outcomes), the page says that no published figure exists rather than borrowing one from elsewhere.
  5. No testimonials, reviews or anecdotes. Personal reports are not evidence about a dose and are not quoted, paraphrased or summarised.
  6. Cross-trial comparisons are labelled. Results from different trials may be shown together for orientation, with an explicit statement that they are not a head-to-head comparison.
  7. Inference is marked. Where the site draws a conclusion the papers do not state (for example why 9 mg was chosen), the sentence says it is the site's inference.
  8. Dates are real. The published and updated dates on each page are the actual dates of writing and revision.
  9. Nothing is sold and nothing is tracked. The site carries one text link to a research supplier, disclosed on the About page, and no analytics, advertising or tracking code of any kind.

Describing the compound

Retatrutide (LY3437943) is described on every page as what it is: an investigational compound, not approved by the FDA or the EMA, with no labelled dose. The footer of every page carries the sentence "Informational content, not medical advice. Retatrutide is an investigational compound, not approved by the FDA or the EMA." Research-supply vials are described as research reagents; the site does not describe their use in people.

Language is kept to what the sources support. "Results" means trial endpoints. "Dose" means a trial arm. "Weight loss" is quoted as the least-squares mean or mean percentage change the paper reports, with its time point.

Use of software in writing

Drafting and checking are assisted by software, including language models, under the rules above. Every figure is verified against the primary source by the editor before publication, and every DOI and NCT number is resolved by an automated check that runs before each release. The charts are drawn from the same figures in inline SVG, so the number in the chart and the number in the text come from one table.

Updates and corrections

When new peer-reviewed data appears, the affected pages are revised and their updated date changed. When an error is found, the correction is made in place and, if it changes a conclusion, noted at the foot of the page. Reports go to editor@retatrutidedose.com.
